ICICLE FORMATION IN TUNNELS UNDER TRAIN RUNNING
Relations between the number and total length of icicles and the temperature in tunnel, and distribution of the positions of leakage water at tunnel section were established from data of investigation by Asahikawa Regional Direction. As the temperature and the wind velocity in tunnel varied remarkably due to train running through tunnel, their variations were measured at distinguished formation period of icicle in several tunnels in Hokkaido.
