Urban Road Speed Humps Setting Technology

Set the speed control humps scientifically, both from the reminder and to decelerate purpose, effective protection of urban road traffic safety. The paper describes the function of speed humps’ reducing accidents. Basing on the comprehensive analysis of domestic and foreign studies of speed humps, it further analyzes the influencing factors of deceleration zone’s speed limit effect and a preliminary method of setting humanized speed humps is proposed. Finally, the paper chooses a selection from student apartment area 1 to area 2 in Qishan campus of Fuzhou University as an example to analyze decelerating effect of speed humps on all types of vehicles and conclude the relationship between the speed limit effect of deceleration and vehicle speed, some suggestions of setting speed humps are put forward.
