CRUSTAL STRAIN AND FAULT MOVEMENT INVESTIGATION FAULTS AND EARTHQUAKE EPICENTERS IN CALIFORNIA

This bulletin is a comprehensive compilation of data on location of faults and earthquake epicenters in California. The Department of Water Resources will use it, along with other available data, in preparing estimates of probability and magnitude of earthquakes at proposed sites of state water facilities. Part 1 locates and gives magnitude of all recorded California earthquakes of Richter magnitude 4 and greater from 1934 to 1961. Part 2 is a bibliography of significant references used in compiling the fault map. Part 3 is the epicenter and fault map. /Article/
