BART TIGHTENS SAFETY ON CONTROLS
The San Francisco Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) District has installed electronic recorders on its trains to check on the contorl system in response to a report that claims the system does not consistently detect all trains on the 39 miles of track that are now open.
