The Seismic Design of Chaoyang Town’s Cable-stayed East Bridge
The seismic design of bridges is one of the world-wide problems of concern to which bridge designers pay great attention. To a certain extent, it concerns the control factors of the bridge design. This paper first gives an introduction to the finite element model of the Chaoyang town cable-stayed East Bridge, and then the bridge is designed with the seismic requirement according to two seismic fortification levels and two-stage design methods. The aseismic checking computation of earthquake waves E1 and E2 is studied after that. Finally, the article analyses these issues and explore the feasibility of the proposed recommendations.
