The above article contains a reference to the studies made by FUFRJANSKIJ, with a view to the construction, for the USSR, of Locomotives having a weight of between 27 and 30 t on rail, in order to increase their tractive effort, followed by a study, from the point of view of the BR, of the dynamic characteristics of locomotives (transversal efforts exercised on the chassis, and on the track, in the case of different speeds, and curve radii, and maximum authorized speeds) which would be compatible, having regard to their non-suspended weight, with an absolute restriction to 35 t of their total vertical dynamic effort exercised on the track.
