STATE EYES RAIL LINE
Preliminary studies are underway in the Bureau of Urban and Public Transit within the Department of State Highways and Transportation to determine feasibility of a modern commuter rail line between Detroit and Ann Arbor. The proposed rail service would utilize trackage owned by the Penn Central railroad and be subsidized with state and federal funds.
