Mixing It Up
Mixed-use parking projects, which are becoming more common, combine residential, office, retail, cultural or institutional uses with parking. This article explores mixed-use projects from the perspective of the parking garage owner. The author examines the cost-benefits of open parking garages, issues related to parking efficiency, and mixed-use garage configurations. He also offers twelve recommendations for mixed use parking projects.
