The Adoption of New Smart-Grid Technologies: Incentives, Outcomes, and Opportunities

This document looks at the implementation of smart grid technologies in the United States. It begins with an overview of the current infrastructure and discusses possible benefits of adopting a smart grid. Barriers to smart grid implementation and potential business opportunities are then examined. Case studies and pilot programs are used to demonstrate current smart grid practices.
