ECONOMICS OF SPECIAL DESIGN CARS FOR AGGREGATES
Some of the obvious advantages of utilizing specially designed cars for aggregates are: the reduction of the capital cost per ton of lading carrying capacity; a more favorable ratio of lading capacity to tare weight; and a saving in track space and reduction of labor cost per ton of lading.
