ABOUT 150 UNANNOTATED REFERENCES ARE GIVEN ON THE SUBSTANTIVE FUNCTIONS OF A COMMUNITY AND ON THE PROCESSES OF COMMUNITY CHANGE. REFERENCES ARE DIVIDED INTO BASIC AND ADVANCED AND ARRANGED IN TEN SUBJECT AREAS: EDUCATION, HEALTH, SOCIAL AND COMMUNITY ORGANIZATION, POLITICAL ORGANIZATION, ECONOMY, PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT, LOCATIONAL AND TERRITORIAL CHANGE, PLANNED CHANGE, BLACK COMMUNITY CHANGE, AND PHILOSOPHICAL ROOTS OF PLANNED COMMUNITY CHANGE. MOST OF THE REFERENCES ARE BOOKS. THE BIBLIOGRAPHY WAS PREPARED BY THE UNIVERSITY OF CINCINNATI'S COMMUNITY AND HUMAN RESOURCES TRAINING PROGRAM, AN INTERDICIPLINARY PROGRAM DESIGN TO TRAIN INNER-CITY AND SUBURBAN RESIDENTS OF THE METROPOLITAN CINCINNATI AREA TO BE ACTIVE AND EFFECTIVE PARTICIPANTS IN THE PROCESS OF PLANNING FOR CHANGE IN THEIR COMMUNITIES.
