DECISIONS TAKEN AT THE 10TH GERMAN MEETING ON TRAFFIC LEGISLATION: ACTIVE AND PASSIVE SAFETY IN THE VEHICLE

Comment is made on active and passive safety in vehicles by a special working group which has decided that an increase in road safety can only be brought about if large sums of public and private money are spent. Measures considered particularly urgent are: promotion of the use of the safety belt, increased education of groups which are particularly accident-prone, such as young people, and a marked increase in the means available for preventing and caring for injuries. /TRRL/
