IT IS ABOUT 10 PERCENT MANY-TO-MANY, 35 PERCENT MANY-TO-FEW AND 55 PERCENT MANY-TO-ONE AND SERVES 6 MAJOR DESTINATIONS IN AN AREA OF 3 SQUARE MILES WITH A POPULATION OF 18,000. THE OPERATIONS OF THE SYSTEM, THE FARES CHARGED AND THE SUCCESS ENCOUNTERED ARE DESCRIBED. THE PROBLEM IN OBTAINING THE DESIRED EQUIPMENT IS NOTED. SUCH FACTORS ARE VEHICLE CAPACITY, THE RATIO OF BUSES TO THE POPULATION, DRIVER AND PUBLIC ATTITUDES, WEATHER AND TRANSPORTATION OF SCHOOL CHILDREN ARE DISCUSSED INFORMALLY.
