FUTURE ENERGY SOURCES FOR TRANSPORTATION

THREE MEANS OF CONSERVING TRANSPORTATION FUEL SOURCES ARE CONSIDERED: A CHANGED ENERGY SOURCE MIX ACHIEVED BY SUBSTITUTING NUCLEAR SOURCES FOR THOSE NONTRANSPORTATION SOURCES PRESENTLY SERVED BY OIL AND NATURAL GAS; NEW AUTOMOBILE TECHNOLOGY RESULTING IN IMPROVED FUEL ECONOMY; AND THE SUBSTITUTION OF NEW ELECTRIC POWER TRANSPORTATION SYSTEMS AND VEHICLES FOR THOSE CURRENTLY FUELED WITH FOSSIL SOURCES. THE ECONOMIC FACTORS OMITTED FROM CONSIDERATION IN THIS PAPER, WILL PLAY AN IMPORTATN ROLE IN DETERMING WHICH METHODS GAIN PROMINENCE. /AUTHOR/
