THE BIBLIOGRAPHY IS PRESENTED IN THREE PARTS. THE FIRST PART WHICH DESCRIBES THE NATURE, BACKGROUND AND EXTENT OF THE ENERGY CRISIS, COVERS SUCH ASPECTS AS THE CURRENT NATURE; ECONOMICAL, ENVIRONMENTAL AND POLITICAL BACKGROUND CONSIDERATIONS; AND SURVEYS AND ESTIMATES OF ENERGY DEPOSITS AND RESERVES. THE FEDERAL POLICY LEVEL AND STATE, INDUSTRIAL AND CITIZEN RESPONSE, ARE COVERED IN THE SECOND PART OF THE BIBLIOGRAPHY WHICH IS DEVOTED TO SUGGESTIONS FOR ALLOCATION, REGULATION AND IMMEDIATE CONSERVATION OF ENERGY RESOURCES. LONG-TERM CONSERVATION AND FUTURE DEVELOPMENT ARE CONSIDERED IN PART THREE. EXTENSIVE CONSIDERATION IS GIVEN TO LONG-TERM CONSERVATION AND ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT; NEED, ALLOCATION AND ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT OF FUEL FOR TRANSPORTATION; ENERGY RESERVES IN ALASKA AND THE ARCTIC; MINING OF COAL, OIL AND GAS; ECONOMIC, SOCIAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL ASPECTS; AND NUCLEAR AND THERMAL ENERGY.
