Connecticut connects over transit solution

A bus stop in downtown New Haven, Connecticut was placed near an office building, and people waiting for the bus would often block the entrance. Building management posted to SeeClickFix, a website where citizens can post about non-emergency issues. New Haven’s Department of Parking and Traffic and the New Haven Safe Streets Coalition got involved. Connecticut Transit installed a bench and shelter at the stop, clearing space in front of the building. Examples such as this show the benefits of open government. Open government policies engage with citizens in order to improve systems such as transportation.
