The Efforts for Transmitting Disaster Related Information by Micromedia

Torrential rains and guerrilla rains have happened frequently recently and caused serious damage in Japan. A research team consisted of industry-academia related car navigationsf technology and mobile phone made efforts to build a prototype system. This system is a gMicromediah and inform individuals of know of risk coming "right here and now". This research aims to describe about efforts to develop gMicromediah utilizing geographic information system (GIS) and location information that provides all individuals in Japan with real-time disaster information anywhere, anytime by using mobile phones and car navigation systems with global positioning system (GPS) and next challenge to implementation for practical usage of gMicromediah.
