Reconstruction of the Missing Data of Location-Specific Detectors Using Spatial-temporal Relatively Weight Method

This paper presents a new method which is used to reconstruct the missing data of microwave data. This method is based on the Spatial-temporal relatively weight values of the traffic flow. First, an overview of existing methods has been conducted. Then, the authors investigate the shortages of the existing methods. The Beijing expressways of the 2nd Ring Road, from the Guangming bridge to the Deshengmen bridge, has been selected as the test road to establish simulation model. By using simulation data, established six models. It is pointed that the average relative error of the first model is verified the maximum only 1.8766% and below 1% in general, when the continuous missing data from 1 to 10. The results indicate that the spatial-temporal relatively weight values model combines stability and practicability, it’s better than other earlier models in any traffic condition.
