Air Traffic Management and Systems: Selected Papers of the 3rd ENRI International Workshop on ATM/CNS (EIWAC2013)

The Electronic Navigation Research Institute (ENRI) is a national laboratory in Tokyo, Japan that specializes in air traffic management (ATM), communication, navigation, and surveillance (CNS) for aviation. This book is designed to provide a view of current and future ATM and related systems that were discussed at the ENRI International Workshop on ATM/CNS (EIWAC2013). The topics presented span a wide area, ranging from the EIWAC keynote speeches and mathematical models of aircraft trajectory to error analysis of systems in the field. The book is divided into five parts and Part I of the book presented papers on ATM such as conflict detection, separation assurance, trajectory prediction, and optimization. Part II of the book presented papers on tools and evaluation for ATM and Part III presented papers on theory and experience for improving CNS. Two papers related to CNS were presented in Part IV and Part V contains a paper that was defined as a tutorial session.
