Maintenance strategies designed for Mali's rural road network

Approches pour l'entretien des routes rurales au Mali

In Mali, nearly 80% of the nation's population reside in rural zones characterized by low levels of agricultural production and an isolated existence that limits their prospects for advancement. To improve both mobility and accessibility in these rural areas, the Malian government adopted in March 2010 a rural transport policy entitled: "National Rural Transport Strategy (or NRTS)".
