Vehicle Choices for Teenage Drivers: A National Survey of Parents

A telephone survey was conducted with parents regarding vehicle choice for teen drivers in their households. This document presents the results. Teenagers were most often driving midsize or large cars, 2000-06 model year vehicles, used vehicles, and vehicles with a median cost of $5,300. The crashworthiness of the older model vehicles is discussed.
