REGIONAL GROWTH MODEL ACTIVITY DISTRIBUTION SUB-MODEL

THE PHASE OF THE REGIONAL GROWTH MODEL THAT DISTRIBUTES ACTIVITIES SOMETIMES REFERRED TO AS THE ACTIVITY DISTRIBUTION MODEL OR PHASE IS PRESENTED. THE OPERATION OF THE ACTIVITY DISTRIBUTION MODEL REQUIRES THE INPUT OF FOUR DIFFERENT TYPES' /1/ THE ACTUAL OPERATING PROGRAM TO BE USED BY THE COMPUTER, /2/ DATA DESCRIBING THE INITIAL STATE OF THE SYSTEM, PLUS EXTERNALLY GENERATED CHANGES PROJECTED FOR THE REGION AS A WHOLE, /3/ DATA REQUIRED TO EXPRESS CERTAIN POLICY ALTERNATIVES UNDER TEST, AND DATA REGARDING LOCATIONAL DECISIONS MADE OUTSIDE THE MODEL, AND /4/ FUNCTIONS, PARAMETERS, AND MODES OF OPERATION FOR THE MODEL. THE MAIN VARIABLES WHICH WERE INVENTORIED AND THEIR SOURCES ARE' POPULATION, LOCATION OF ECONOMIC ACTIVITIES, EXISTING STOCK OF BUILDINGS, AND VACANT LAND.
