Modeling and Analysis Method of Network Nodes for Pedestrian Facility Layout Scheme Selection in Urban Rail Transit Station

To help select a pedestrian facility layout scheme during the design phase in an urban rail transit station, a modeling and analysis method was proposed which adopted a four-stage prediction method to complete traffic assignment for bottleneck identification and to calculate travel time through pedestrian route network building. Three types of delay nodes (D nodes) were defined and used for calculating delay, and an analysis model was especially set up for D nodes caused by congestion. The method is implemented in an example application in VISUM.
