Stability Analysis for Traffic Flow Based on Molecular Dynamics

The traffic system is a complex system that is composed of many factors, such as people, vehicles, roads, and the environment. Traffic perturbation is an important reason for breaking the stability of traffic system, as well as causing traffic congestion and other traffic problems. Based on the Molecular Dynamics theory and according to the Lyapunov stability judgment method, this paper conducts a stability analysis for traffic flow and establishes a model which regards traffic flow under the state of uniform synchronous flow as the study object and takes the comprehensive function of people, vehicles, roads, environment and other factors into consideration. Applying the vehicle trajectory graph and basic status of traffic flow, the dynamic evolution process of traffic perturbation in the actual traffic flow under various factors is analyzed.
