Research on Unmanned Vehicle Wireless Remote Emergency Braking Performance Detection System

A method and detection system of unmanned vehicle wireless remote emergency braking performance are developed based on high-precision global positioning system (GPS) and wireless communications to achieve unmanned vehicle wireless remote emergency braking performance detection. This system consists of hardware and software systems. The hardware system consists of GPS and wireless transceiver modules, and an unmanned vehicle and a referee vehicle are connected through wireless signals. This can measure GPS data of the unmanned and referee vehicles. The software system is used for data collection, data processing, and analysis. Braking time, braking distance, brake lag time, and other parameters can be analyzed and calculated by testing and processing GPS data. By analyzing road tests and comparing verification tests, the device realizes the unmanned vehicle wireless emergency brake braking response time and braking distance evaluation functions. The results can protect the operation reliability of unmanned vehicles and improve unmanned vehicle driving safety.
