INDUCTIVE INFLUENCE ON RAILS OF A SINGLE-TRACK RAILROAD OF A SHORT-CIRCUIT WITH GROUND IN AN OVERHEAD POWER LINE

ODDZIALYWANIE INDUKCYJNE PRADU ZWARCIA Z ZIEMIE W NAPOWIETRZNEJ LINII ENERGOELEKTRYCZNEJ NA SZYNY JEDNOTOROWEJ LINII KILEJOWEJ

The inductive influence in rails of a single track from short-circuit current which flows in an overhead power line is considered on the assumption that the rails are parallel to the power line, the formulas for the current along the rails as well as the voltage between a rail and a point in the ground next to the rails are derived. The effect of variation in distance from the track to the power line is considered.
