Street Score: Walk San Francisco's Report Card on Walking

This report analyzes the current state of San Francisco's progress in meeting the goals for engineering, enforcement and education outlined in its Pedestrian Strategy. San Francisco's progress is compared to that of Boston, Washington, DC, and New York, all of which rank higher than San Francisco in levels of walking. Grades are assigned for progress towards Vision Zero, walkability, pedestrian safety, funding, engineering, enforcement, education and outreach. While the city scores well in walkability, significant investment and action will be required for San Francisco to meet its Pedestrian Strategy goals.
