CTAA’s Innovative Financing for Transit’s Future

In order to purchase vehicles, office equipment and software, it is necessary to have capital. The same can be said for buying buildings and land on which to locate, funding operating operating costs while waiting for services rendered to be reimbursed, and to increase the level of service provided by the operation. There are lenders who specialize in the purpose of each of these varieties; these lenders are also often limited as to the scope of their lending. This article provides examples of resources and strategies for obtaining financing for community transportation operations.
