IMPLEMENTATION OF TRANSPORTATION PLANS

THIS ARTICLE ATTEMPTS TO SET FORTH THE ACTION REQUIRED AND FACTORS TO BE CONSIDERED IN THE IMPLEMENTATION OF A MASTER PLAN. SUCH A PLAN, DEVELOPED IN A TRANSPORTATION STUDY, WOULD SHOW THE APPROXIMATE LOCATION OF NEW TRAFFIC, TRANSIT AND PARKING FACILITIES BUT NOT THEIR DETAILED DESIGN. DETAIL DESIGN OF EACH FACILITY WOULD BE REQUIRED TOGETHER WITH RIGHT-OF-WAY ACQUISTION. ACCURATE CONSTRUCTION COST ESTI- MATES AND DETAILED DATA ON SUBSIDIES FROM SENIOR GOVERNMENTS ARE NEEDED TO DEVELOP A FINANCIAL PROGRAM. PRIORITIES AND CONSTRUCTION PLANS MUST BE ESTABLISHED. THE IMPACT OF LAND USE CHANGES ON TRAFFIC PATTERNS MUST BE CONSIDERED. /CGRA/
