Blowing in the Wind
This article describes environmental artist Ned Kahn's 2012 creation of the Turbulent Line, which is one of the largest pieces of art in Australia and covers the entire side of a new garage at the Brisbane airport. The 54,000 square foot sculpture adorns a nine-story parking complex that is the largest single-structure car park in the southern hemisphere. The article details the design and construction of the large-scale artwork which, in addition to being aesthetically pleasing to observers, features a design that offers both light and shade inside the car park and provides natural ventilation to the interior of the building.
