Revisions and Amendments in Standards [Standards]

The first technical specification (TS 102 939-1) on digital-enhanced cordless telecommunications (DECT) ultralow energy (ULE) was published by the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI). It was a low power consumption radio technology intended for machine-to-machine (M2M) applications, including home automation. Based on the very popular and highly successful DECT standard, developed by ETSI, DECT ULE's main characteristics are ultralow power consumption, a wider coverage area than competing technologies, and good quality of service (a unique feature of ULE compared with other low-power wireless standards).
