Maximising Australian rail exports

This paper will detail some of the success stories in the Australian Rail export market in the past twenty years and describe what differentiators Australian Rail Companies (both large and small) have when exporting their products and services. It will outline what Australia has to offer in exporting rail products and services. It will draw on the combined 40 plus years’ domestic and international experience of the authors. Past Strategies - will summarise what has worked for the Australian Rail industry in the past in gaining success in various export markets. It will highlight the past successes and what has changed in the past twenty years. Export Issues & Future Markets - will discuss issues that affect exporting and outline future export market opportunities particularly in Hong Kong. Current Initiatives - will then cover current initiatives in place (both private and public) to maximise export efforts by Australian rail sector companies.
