ANLAGEN ZUM UEBERWACHEN UND STEUERN DES S-BAHN-BETRIGBS IN MUENCHEN

Suburban rapid transit in the Munich area is being developed as a system distinct from the ordinary railroad and subway systems. Development laws and progress, including the use of all-relay central interlockings, the automatic blocking, continuous automatic train control with cab signals and data processing installations are described. Requirements for supervision and control tasks of central control offices using data transmission channels are discussed. In the first stage, the overall rail traffic will be covered according to type, time and location in five areas of supervision.
