Freight Operations 2013
This issue contains 11 papers concerned with freight operations. Specific topics addressed include: freight trip generation models; estimating warehouse throughput in freight transport demand models; stated behavioral responses to off-hour delivery policies; international best practices in urban freight movement; European experience with bicycles for urban freight; parking in the city; and unassisted off-hour deliveries. Additional topics discussed include: onboard monitoring systems in commercial vehicles; improved freight transportation in Costa Rica; wholesale hub locations in food supply chains; and calculation of blast pressure outside vented suppressive shield containers.
