AUTOMATIC PROCESSING DEVICE OF DERAILMENT COEFFICIENT - DEVELOPMENT OF DEVICE USING PEAK HOLD AMPLIFIER
The device which can process automatically the derailment coefficient, using peak-holding techniques, was developed. The principle of operation is described, followed by the experimental results for reproduced outputs of a magnetic tape which was recorded during TOKAIDO SHINKANSEN running tests. It is shown that Q/P could be measured over ranges from 0.05 to 1.5 with the fineness of 0.05. The ratio (Q/P) of the side thrust of the wheel (Q) to the wheel load (P) is called generally the derailment coefficient and is one of the important values for the safety of running.
