SIMULATION STUDY FOR NEW CONTAINER TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM
The applicability of a new yard-less, total-container freight transportation system to Tokaido-Sanyo Area was evaluated by computer simulation. Other characteristics of the system are high-efficiency container handling depot stations, large size train composed of 6 small units, which serve for the transfer of containers to and from branch lines.
