ON RE-DISTRIBUTION OF STRESSES IN SEMI-HARD ROCK MASSES IN THE PROCESS OF DEPTH CREEP OF SLOPES

DUE TO THE INFLUENCE OF CREEP DEFORMATION ON THE STRESS STATE, THE HYPOTHETICAL INITIAL DISTRIBUTION OF STRESSES IN THE SLOPE BODY IS CHANGED AND DOES NOT CORRESPOND FURTHER TO THE THEORY OF LINEARLY DEFORMABLE BODIES. FOCUS-LIKE DEPTH CREEP ZONES IN SLOPE BODIES ARE TRANSFORMED INTO THE ELONGATED BELTS STRETCHED ALONG THE POTENTIAL SURFACES OF SLIDING. THEIR POSITION IS DETERMINED BY CREEP LINES ALONG WHICH MUTUAL DISPLACEMENT OF PARTICLES OCCURS. RE- DISTRIBUTION OF SHEAR STRESSES, IN AREAS LOCATED ALONG THE POTENTIAL SURFACE OF SLIDING, OCCURS IN THE PROCESS OF CREEP; THE CREEP RATES ARE CHANGED CORRESPONDINGLY. THE AVERAGE STRESSES IN THE REGION LOCATED IN FRONT OF THE FOCUS-LIKE ZONE OF CREEP INCREASE, WHILE THE SAME IN THE REGION LOCATED BEHIND THIS ZONE DECREASE. AS A RESULT, THE CREEP ZONE GETS A LAMINATED CHARACTER. THE LAMINATED ZONE OF CREEP MAY HAVE A PARALLEL, NARROWING OR ENLARGING OUTLINE DEPENDING ON THE GEOLOGICAL CONDITIONS AND GEOMETRIC CHARACTERISTICS OF THE SLOPE. THE VALUE OF THE COEFFICIENT OF THE MOBILIZED SHEAR STRENGTH IS GIVEN BY THE PARALLEL OUTLINE OF LAMINATED CREEP. /AUTHOR/
