Game Theoretic Approach over a Hazardous Material Transportation Network
Hazardous material transporters are always concerned with minimizing both the transportation costs and the associated transport risks. Existing studies had formulated the hazardous material transportation problem into a two player zero sum game where either the travel time or the disaster cost is minimized. This paper developed a game theoretic model where both objectives are achieved simultaneously. A parameter which connects risk and travel cost is introduced and discussed in terms of its impact on the equilibrium solution. This model is transformed into a linear minimization problem which can be solved with any commercial optimization software.
