Development and Research of the Simulator for Cooperative Vehicle Infrastructure System
In order to set up the development and test platform for a cooperative vehicle infrastructure system (CVIS), the authors proposed a novel CVIS simulator system based on wireless network technology and a vehicle positioning device. There are two parts in the proposed simulator system, one is an in-vehicle simulator system to simulate the in-vehicle devices, and the other is an on-ground simulator system to simulate ground traffic infrastructure, GPS and other vehicles. The typical applications and key technologies are introduced in this paper. The proposed simulator system, which provided a user-friendly developing environment, will save engineers significant development time and cost. The authors have finished schematic design, and an in-vehicle terminal simulator is used in the development platform.
