Selection of the Optimum Path in Urban Rail Transit Network Based on Multi-Optimum Choice
Travelers pay more attention on selecting the optimum path in the large complex networks of Urban Rail Transit (URT). The shortest path is not the only criterion for selecting routes. Based on the analysis of the basic characteristics of rail transit network, the three optimum choices, the shortest path, least costs of travel time and the minimum transfer times are researched. An optimization model was established based on the three factors. The transit factor had more significant influence on traveler' selection according to the model. Travelers prefer to select the routes with less transfer times. The optimum method and result of the model is more scientific, more practical, and more reasonable. The model is an effective method, and was provided for transfer coefficient and network optimization
