Research on Station and Line Capacity Coordination in Railway Terminal Based on the Entropy Model

This paper mainly discusses integrated coordination of stations and lines' capacity at railway terminals. The terminal is regarded as a combination of passenger, freight and marshalling stations. A mathematical model was constructed by taking the stations and lines' capacity. The minimum allowable flow on line and the kinds of inbound trains as constraints to achieve the object of maximizing the entropy of utilization rate of stations and lines at the terminal by using the model of max entropy function. The result of passenger and freight volume can be derived. Further quantitative calculation and qualitative analysis on the calculation example indicates that the model and methods are practical.
