Physical Simulation and Analysis on the Deformation and Failure Mechanism of the Highway Tunnel on Horizontal Rock Stratum
This paper according to the practical conditions of the highway tunnel uses the basal contact friction experimental method to analyze the deformation and failure mechanism of the tunnel on horizontal rock stratum. The result shows that the process of deformation and failure of the tunnel on horizontal rock stratum can be divided into four stages: tiny deformation, evident deformation, large deformation and local failure, structural failure. The process obviously has gradual and staggered features. Furthermore, for verifying the reliability of the physical simulation results, the finite element method (FEM) is used for comparison. The results show that it has good consistency.
