Research on the Overbooking Problem of Passenger Dedicated Line in China
The operation and management mode of existing railway has not really helped in the development of Passenger Dedicated Line, a series of problems were exposed. This research paper is about the overbooking problem of the Passenger Dedicated Line in China. After analyzing the problem and setting some hypothesis, an optimization model was found which is considered both an economic benefit and social profit. The model cannot be solved analytically, so the authors used MATLAB software to carry out numerical calculation and analyzed the result. Finally, further exploration to the issues of overbooking in Passenger Dedicated Line was made.
