On Complexity Structure of Supply Chain Network
Many attempts have been made to research complexity problems of Supply Chain Management (SCM) by study the stability and bullwhip effect of an integrated supply chain. Some researchers have made attempts to establish supply chain system model using system dynamics also, but not much has been done on modeling the netlike structure of supply chain. In this paper, the dynamic evolution of Supply Chain Network (SCN) is analyzed first, indicating SCN is virtually a complex network. Then BA model is used to prove the supply chain in open-market environment has scale-free properties and are typical scale-free networks. Last, some suggestions of supply chain management are given.
