Evaluation Methods of Cavity Stability beneath Highway Roadbed in Karst Regions
To analyze and evaluate cavity stability beneath highway roadbed was one of the important technique problems of highway construction in karst regions. Based on the analysis of engineering geological characteristics of karst, a two-grade fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model used to evaluate the stability of karst cavity beneath highway roadbed is established. Moreover, the in-situ monitoring technique of the deformation of cavity or cavity roof rock is developed by conventional multi-point extensometers combined with borehole measurement. Thus, both evaluation method and deformation monitoring for cavity stability beneath highway roadbed are set up and proved to be feasible and effective by engineering application.
