Optimization Design Model Research of Double Front Axle Steering Mechanisms in Dump Trucks
Multi-objective optimization model of double front axle steering mechanisms in dump trucks was built based on the RSSR space four-rod mechanisms derived from the steering drive mechanisms, which considered the wheel steering angle errors, the interference between steering linkage and suspension system and the non-uniform steering force. The optimization results show that multi-objective optimization method reflects the practical situation roundly of the steering mechanisms, and the maximal wheel steering angle errors, the interference between steering linkage and suspension and the non-uniform steering force are all improved. And finally the model can reduce the abrasion of steering wheels and improve the truck control stability and ease of control.
