Geographical Information System for Transportation Based on Wireless Sensor Network
Wireless sensor network can be applied to the management and control system of transportation. Based on wireless sensor network and geographical information system of transportation, this paper discusses some following issues. Firstly, road and intersection encoding which consists of fixed-length binary number is used as identifier of wireless sensors, and some important attributes of road and intersection can be embodied in the identifier. Secondly, this paper proposes structure of application system of embedded mobile database based on geographical information system for transportation. The system consists of mobile terminal, station and data center server. Thirdly, a three-level hierarchy transportation geography information system is established on wireless sensor network, station (or mobile terminal) and central database server. In conclusion, the three-cascade structure supplies support to the networking and intelligent geographical information system for transportation.
