The Application of Strategic Environmental Assessment on Traffic Planning
According to the main idea of Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA), the essay takes society, economy, and environment as the relative standards when assessing the environment of transportation planning. It also sifts some quantitative indicators in the second-class standards by the greatly uncorrelated method. It achieves weight by means of experts' investigation and analytical hierarchy process and evaluates the environment by means of integrated coordination. Based on the analysis, it proposes a correspondingly improved design project. The essay also provides a new theory on the design of transportation planning on the basis of both the importance of SEA in the whole process and the necessity of repeated assessments.
