Effect of Driver's Dynamic Visual Characteristics on Link Capacity
At present, the research on the relationship between traffic flow rate and driver's dynamic visual characteristics is still at the qualitative analysis stage. In this paper, the authors studied the correlation degree between traffic flow rate and eye movement parameters, and employed three eye movement parameters to correct link capacity. Firstly, the authors obtained driver's eye movement characteristic factors from experiment in the real road environment. Then, the authors employed Grey Relation Entropy Analysis to select the eye movement parameters that have a high correlation degree with traffic flow rate. The eye movement parameters included: gaze fixation distribution, perspective region's distribution, and mean fixation duration. At last, the authors employed the three parameters to correct link capacity and proposed a calculation method for the driver's dynamic visual characteristics correction factor.
