Application of TOPSIS in Evaluating Transfer Efficiency at Urban Railway Passenger Station
In this paper, an evaluation approach has been developed based on TOPSIS to help authorities determine the optimal choice in building or rebuilding projects of urban railway passenger stations. TOPSIS is one of the well-known and useful techniques for multiple-attribute or multiple-criteria decision making (MADM/MCDM). For the original TOPSIS depending on acquired weights of attributes, which usually are unknown in fact, therefore an improvement method has been used in this paper, which uses the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) method to figure out weights of attributes. In addition, considering the difficulty of obtaining precise values for each attribute in practice, this paper develops an extension TOPSIS with triangle fuzzy number to overcome the disadvantage above. In the end, an example has been demonstrated for efficiency of this investigation.
